A lot has been going this past month, and I really don't even know where to start. I think I'll go back as far as I can remember, and just work my way up.

Earlier this month, Dave showed us a sneak peak at some new laser weapon prototypes as a result of winning the play challenge of the week, and they got a lot of positive results. But in my opinion, they really don't fit the Atmosphir style. The way the character held the gun reminded me of a threat that happened at a store near my neighborhood, and when that happens in a cartoon-style game like Atmosphir, you KNOW something's wrong. Since we're already on about sneak peaks, that brings me to the new Knight costumes. For awhile there has been mention of them in the design and play tips area, but nothing else besides a few concept art sketches way back when has been revealed, until the recent Jumpstart. In the long awaited installment, Dave shows us the progress on the knight costumes, Castle10 winners, announces Blockart10, and shows us more character animations. Also, Dave posted a thread asking the community what textures Half-blocks should have, so prepare for those as a possible new design item.

Of course that's not all, and there have been some changes regarding the weekly play challenges. Every day of every week, there's a Level of the day. For a single day, a popular level by a more or less popular designer is rewarded with the attention it deserves, because one of our fantastic Editorial Staff members writes a lengthy, oh so deserving review about it, highlighting all that is good and dandy. Over the past few months though, they have been losing their attention, and many people only pay attention to their OWN LOTDs. So to counteract this problem, Dave has declared that each and every LOTD will work like a weekly play challenge - Get gold on the leaderboards for any LOTD of that week, and you shall be bestowed upon with 100 atmos. Win gold on every LOTD of that week, and you'll win a club membership for a year. Sweet deal right? If you're an expert player, and prepared to handle competition, then sure, but don't get your hope too high, you're going against an entire community.

Oh yes, I can't forget to update you all on what's stirring on in the forums lately, that would be preposterous! Anyway, a few weeks back, Dave held some applications regarding the ES (Editorial Staff) looking for two new members. While Dave may have said two, it seems he has confused two with four, so if you haven't already, welcome Munchy365, Prototype, Bramblepath, and Kaiserg into the ES! Now we can rest assured that there's going to be LOTD every day...I hope.

Nearing the end already? I was sure the post would be longer than this. Oh well, lets just keep going. Dave announced that June 7th is the official launch date for Atmosphir, including a Q&A on the forums here. Two things I'd like to highlight from it: Moderator applications may or may not be next week, according to Dave after a certain user asked when they would be - and that the store is going to be up and running by time launch is done, which I also hope means we'll be getting our atmos back.

May was pretty nuts as you can see, but it might just be the beginning of a long line of nutty months, what with launch and new moderators on the way.
